The Chronicles of Carly

So much for a monthly blog. I guess being a mommy and a student makes it impossible for me to update this thing. Although I seem to update my facebook pictures pretty regularly. Oh well. I can't believe Carly is going to be 7 months old soon. For a 6 and a half month old baby, she's done a lot of stuff. We went to Daytona for a Supercross race, and yes Carly went to the race, and LOVED it. She's been to Indiana and had so much fun meeting her Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa, and the rest of her loving family.
Carly can roll over front to back and back to front. She can sit up without support, she can't sit up from the laying position, but she tries to everyday. She loves standing up and giving "hugs". She loves watching cartoons and reading her books. Carly loves, loves, loves her binky! She knows how to play patty cake. She grabs my hands and puts them together so I will clap them. Her hair has gotten so much lighter than when she was born. She is so very cute :)

Well, Carly Rae is a month old. Since my mom has a blog about Carly and actually updates it, I figured I could at least do a monthly (or however often I feel like) update on Carly Rae. Mom's website is www.carlyraeofsunshine.blogspot.com . She has weekly updates of her favorite pictures and a growth chart started of the baby. I will post updates on how she is, my favorite pictures, and anything else I feel like updating. =] So for the past month, we've been busy getting situated at home, trying to get some kind of routine down, cleaning bottles, changing diapers, hanging out with the family, and did I mention cleaning bottles?
Mimi (mom) has had off for the past 3 weeks and has gone back to work. No bueno! SOOOOO now we have to get a new routine down of, mommy and carly getting up around 530; Carly has no problem doing this, since she is hungry ALL the time; getting the bottles ready for the day; Mommy getting ready for school, and then driving to Daddy's house for Carly to spend the morning with him til I get out of school. It is not as bad as it sounds, but the getting up and being awake is the hard part.
Carly is an absolute joy, but when she's hungry... She is starving, or so she thinks. She's grown so much in the past month and is around 8 and a half pounds, or more. She is so strong, she lifts her head all the time. She amazes me every day. She's the love of my life. =]
She had her first portrait session at Portrait Innovations and she was very awake. The pictures turned out beautiful, what can I say, the camera loves her! =]
Carly likes going on car rides, going shopping with mommy,going to the beach, taking baths, and going on walks around the neighborhood. Oh and how can I forget, she loves to sleep on my belly. She loves playing with her grandpa, she watches old movies, and motorcycle races in bed with him. She was also observing grandpa changing the tire on his motorcycle. =]
